The Central Finance Facility (CFF) invites you to attend its Virtual Thought Leadership Event themed: “FinTech and Cyber Security – The Future of Technology for Credit Unions”. The event will take place on Wednesday 29th June 2022 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
The topic of Credit Unions and FinTech is high on the list of priorities for the CFF. Project 2020, one of CFF’s goals led by its Technology Committee, is providing Credit Unions access to the National Payment System and Digital Banking Platforms. This will require Credit Unions having optimal access and utilization of technology, allowing them to offer online products and services; and ultimately increase their market share. Credit Unions risk losing revenue, relevance, and relationships if they cannot bring their digital service offerings up to par.
Consequently, it is vital that the dialogue on FinTech continues. At our previous FinTech event, leading local and international FinTech experts focused on the significance of FinTech on a national and international level. Participants learnt about leading global FinTech trends which Credit Unions can adopt in order to improve their member experience, such as: mobile banking, credit cards, online banking and blockchain-powered cryptocurrencies.
As we ride the Digital Transformation wave, the CFF is once again bringing together leading authorities in FinTech, as well as Cyber Security to assist with this transition. During the past 2 years, it has been reported that 3 well-known companies fell victim to cyber-attacks. These include Ansa McAl (2021), Massy and Aeropost (2022). Cyber Security is paramount for this transition as units must ensure that their technological systems (organization/member data) are protected from both internal and external threats.
