Central Finance Facility (CFF) provides its services only to credit unions, in effect acting as the “credit unions’ credit union”. The CFF was founded in May 2002.

CFF does not serve individuals directly, a role fulfilled by credit unions, it was instead established to serve the credit union industry by providing opportunities for investments through pooling of resources to enable higher rates of return.

The CFF also provides liquidity (credit) support to credit unions that are experiencing unusual or unexpected liquidity shortfalls; facilitates the modernizing of members’ services and assists them in becoming significant players in the financial services sector.

The CFF is regulated by the Commissioner for Co-operative Development in the Ministry of Youth Development and National Services.

CFF is located in Chaguanas. As of December 2020, Ms. Letitia Telesford serves as President of the Central Finance Facility.
