A critical part of a successful Credit Union’s overall business and growth strategy is prioritizing risk management. Effective management of risk is critical as losses are key drivers of probability and earnings volatility. COVID-19 and other factors have shown how important it is for Credit Unions to take realistic precautions regarding risk, in order to continue to serve their members while safeguarding members’ interests.
To assist Credit Unions in these efforts, the Central Finance Facility (CFF) invites you to attend our Credit Union Risk Management Training Program, which will be held on Tuesday, August 23rd, 2022 via Zoom. Credit Unionists have the option to attend the morning or evening training session, at the times stated below:
- Morning session – 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
- Evening session – 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm
Upon completion of this training session, Credit Unionists will:
- Understand the nature of risk;
- Know the relevance of risk management in Credit Union operations, while understanding the risk tolerance and risk appetite;
- Be equipped with strategic tools and services to best manage Credit Union risk.
